Hi Theresa, Thanks for dropping by! The concept you outline, regarding ever-reproducing energy, is symbolised in the mystical schools by the Ouroborus - the snake eating it's own tale. I totally agree that we are composed of vibrating energy and also agree that our choices determine our experience of life. The question I proposed was, if there was a goal, or preferred outcome determined by natural evolution, would it be to a higher level of vibrating energy, or to a lower? I look forward to your thoughts...

Cheers Dr Bob, your research is always of interest! The Rosicrucians certainly believe that once you've attained perfection, that wether you return into a physical body is a matter of choice. My next post will consider the ancient Egyptian concept of reincarnation.

Just dropping by to say hi. I've read Dr. Newton's books and find the whole subject of reincarnation fascinating. I'd like to comment on your question about an "end-goal" – I don't believe we have one. Life is energy. Energy never dies. No beginning. No end. And life is what we determine it is by the choices we make. That's my belief anyway. Glad I stumbled upon your blog.

Curtis: Thanks for a very good blog post. You might already know that the early Christian church did believe in reincarnation. But it was decided that the people "could not be controlled," they would not behave, unless threatened with the concept of Hell. So reincarnation was quietly dropped as a sanctioned belief. Also, you might want to check "The Autobiography of a Yogi" (Paramahansa Yogananda) for ideas about some Eastern beliefs. Some do not believe coming back is a punishment. Just a way of working out karma. Which, some believe, is not a way of punishment but more of a cause and effect type of relationship. Again, some believe that we did not move from one species to another during reincarnation, but rather choose, yes, choose, to come back the way we do that we may experience something we haven't yet experienced in our many, many lives. Neale Donald Walsch holds this view in "Converations with God." Write on ! Bob
