What is so funny about the self help book industry? Where is the comedy in success?
As mentioned in yesterday’s post, the self help book industry was valued at approximately USD$9.6 billion in 2008, with growth estimates expecting this segment of the market to generate up to USD$13 billion in the US in 2010.
I’m pleased to be publishing in his genre…but sometimes you just need to sit back and have a laugh at yourself!

The cynics say the only people profiting from this self help book explosion are the authors. I’d add the comedians aren’t doing too badly either…
They also say the average person who buys a self help book, then goes on to buy more books, so they can’t be helping in any way. Building a library is a very intelligent investment.

Hi Nelia, I do have ads that are called in via scripts, such as google and amazon, so I’m not sure about your specific firewall settings, but it may have recognized these scripts.
