Four Esoteric Laws of the Universe – Part 4 – Seven Cosmic Planes

Ancient Esoteric Wisdom and the Seven Plans of Creation

In the previous series of posts on ancient esoteric wisdom, we considered the macrocosm vs the microcosm, the law of evolution and the concept of karma and karmic influence.

Now in the fourth and final article on the teachings of ancient esoteric wisdom, we consider the seven cosmic planes of matter and existence.

The number 7 is very powerful, and encapsulates many aspects of our universe.  In numerology, the number 7 is composed of the number 4 (representing the square) and the number 3 (represents the triangle) and together as the number 7, they represent the circle.

You can find the number 7 throughout your experience of this life.

Some easy examples are:

• Seven Days of the Week
• Seven Notes in Musical Scales
• Seven Primary Planets
• Seven Primary Colors
• Seven Wonders of the World

…and you might have heard of the seventh heaven?

Esoteric wisdom teaches this construct of everything being based on the number 7 is the Law of Creation.

Supposedly everything in our universe exists in one of the seven planes and every physical thing on our planet is composed of 7 primary ingredients.

The ancient teachers also taught that your consciousness is also placed somewhere within 7 layers of awareness, with each bringing you closer to the source energy.

When you consider that all matter is simply vibrating energy at varying frequencies, it is interesting to add the concept of the musical scale.

Since all sounds are also vibrations, vibrating in sets of seven, once a sound reaches the limit of one scale, it starts again as the lowest frequency on the next higher scale.

Hence your spiritual development also moves through scales of sevens.

So, if you are able to raise your awareness to a certain level, you will eventually break out of that scale and gain access to the lowest frequency on the next higher scale.

This is a never-ending process of evolution, and brings together all of the four esoteric laws into one equation.

The final goal is to attain the seventh heaven, which represents the highest of the seven layers of spiritual evolution.  This can be related to Nirvana or Sattva as known by the Eastern religions.

Seventh heaven is the highest form of consciousness you can achieve in your human form.
