Creating Your "Objective Observer" - Step 1

Here is Step 1 in Creating Your Objective Observer

To begin, I’m asking you to learn how to create your own internal “Objective Observer”.

You will need to develop this objective personality in order to effectively and realistically analyze the thoughts, words and emotions you exhibit every day on a moment-by-moment basis.

  To become a purely Objective Observer of oneself might be impossible. 

It is very difficult to entirely release your previous personal experience, but you can develop the habit of stepping outside yourself when you interact with others.

By observing yourself in action, you begin to evolve from a reactionary mindset to a contemplative mindset.  To be objective in your observation requires practice.

The first step is to become aware of your own personal neural net in its current state. It’s important to understand who you are right now.

This understanding starts you on the journey to become an actor rather than a re-actor – and you will begin to control your own choices and your interaction with the world. 

Developing this third personality (there is the normal you, the reactive you, and now the observing you) gives you the ability to distance yourself, with some emotional objectivity, when emotionally charged situations occur.
