Testing My Objective Observer – Modern Mystic in Action

What is an Objective Observer?

A few weeks ago, I wrote a series of posts regarding how to create your Objective Observer.  Use the links below to read how to start this process in your own life.

Creating Your Objective Observer – Step 1
Creating Your Objective Observer – Step 2
Creating Your Objective Observer – Step 3

The creation of your Objective Observer is the primary lesson I teach in my book, Reading Between the Lines, The Hidden Power of Language

My last post related to the natural effect of entropy in my life with things spinning out of control…after writing the post, however things continued to be challenging.  It was a series of things going wrong, just like the saying “when it rains it pours”…

It was a chance for me to be a modern mystic and test my Objective Observer.  And test it the world did!

One of the messages I share in my book relates to these times in our lives when the seas get turbulent, and we lose our way, as discussed in the previous post about the Void.

Many people stay lost and allow the storms to dictate their experience of life continuously.

The lesson is to learn how to navigate the storms by using your Objective Observer to captain the ship.  This week offered me an opportunity to navigate some challenging times without falling prey to either the storms or my emotional demons.

It has been a bizarre experience really, as my Objective Observer allowed me to stand outside myself and the situation.  At times I did feel like a modern mystic because the opportunities for me to lose it were numerous…and for most of my life I did lose it when thinsg got too hectic.

My Observer gave me the power to stay in control!

And despite a continuous barrage of tests, I was able to make decisions based on focusing on the best outcome instead of focusing on the current reality.  We really have little effect on our current reality, but the research conducted as part of writing my book has proven to me that we can affect our future, and possibly even vice versa!

The storms have not yet subsided, but my intention and focus is on what I want to happen, instead of focusing on what I don’t want to have happen…it’s a subtle but powerful way of thinking.

You will never be able to control how other people respond, or when physical things break, or when processes fail, but you certainly can control how you react to these situations.

By creating and practicing with your Objective Observer, you will soon realize that you do have a very important choice to make every minute of every day:

You can choose to let the world control how you think or you can control how you think.  Which will it be?
