The Mystical Number Seven

The number 7 has always been considered a mystical number in esoteric wisdom.

You don’t have to think hard to come up with a myriad of examples of the number seven in our universe.  Here are just a few:

7 primary planets

7 days of the week

7 notes on the musical scale

7 primary shades of color

7 wonders of the world

I’ve read that every cell in our entire body is basically recreated every 7 years, and our taste buds supposedly change every 7 years.

The chemicals which produce the feelings of love last for about 7 years (hence the 7 year itch) and the ancient wisdom taught that every seven years the human mind and spirit undergoes a dramatic change, with the peak of mental power being attained at the age of 49 years (7 x 7).

You might have heard of a seventh heaven or the seven planes of existence?  How about the seven chakras or the seven primary glands which align with those chakras?

Some faiths believe that the seventh son of the seventh son is very special person!

When a set of waves breaks on a beach or reef, the seventh wave is always supposed to be the biggest.

You can probably think of even more examples, but the question is how does this knowledge help you in your daily life?

The reality is our bodies have evolved to sense our world in sets of sevens – the 7 primary notes (sounds) and the 7 primary colors (sight).  So with this fundamental understanding of how energy travels, we must start to become aware of opportunities to use this natural rhythm of the universe to our benefit.

I’ve explored why things are made up of vibrating energy in another post, but to expand on the understanding that all things are essentially vibrating matter, and assuming natural vibrating energy vibrations travel in sets of seven, then maybe thinking the same thought seven times can affect those vibrating particles in your favor?

Think about that for a moment…how often do you think the exact same thought, using deeply focused intention, seven times in a row?

I’m going to start trying this out as part of my own intention experiment, and I’ll let you know the results.
